Earlier this year, I was invited to contribute to Vibrance Festival 2021 and given my first taste of working within a festival environment in Tasmania’s capital - the quaint and quirky city of Hobart.

As we approach the twentieth anniversary of the barnstorming cinematic wrecking ball that was Fight Club, I took the opportunity to rekindle my love affair with the cult-classic and apply my craft to Brad Pitt’s sublime portrayal of Tyler Durden.

With each project we complete; with every new technique gleaned in the process, it can be difficult to resist the temptation to exercise our new muscles and tamper with old works…

I have fairly traditional values when it comes to making art. For as long as I can remember, it has always been something I’ve created with rudimentary tools; something which produces a tactile result I can run my hand over at the end.
